Fees
 What is a Fee-Based Planner?

Financial services professionals can get paid in three ways:
  • Commissions paid by the company whose products they sell to clients
  • Fees charged directly to the client and paid to the planner
  • A combination of the two above methods

Sullivan Financial Planning, LLC is a Fee-Based planner. This means that the client pays the advisor directly for his/her advice. Product sales are available where appropriate, but the planner is not tempted to sell the client investments he/she doesn’t need in order to make money. The fee-based financial planning model is similar to how you work with an attorney or CPA.

We choose this method of doing business because we believe it benefits the client and provides the basis of life-long relationships built on trust.

Payment can be made by personal check.

ONE-HOUR FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION

How do you know how much a financial plan is going to cost you? Like any major purchase, you want know what the price will be and how it will benefit you.

Because every person is different, it’s hard for an adviser to determine the cost of a project without first discussing the client’s needs in detail. That is why we offer a free, one-hour consultation for all new clients.

This allows all parties to determine if there is a good fit for working together. Also, it gives Sullivan Financial Planning the opportunity to estimate the time involved in creating a plan so that we may give you an estimate before beginning. At that point, the client can decide whether he/she wants to move forward now, later, or not at all.

Payment can be made by personal check.
